Even though the transfer window has closed until the summer and what with Roman Abramovich's extravagant spending during that window, the rumour mill remains in full swing and will do so between now and the end of the season.
Kaka's name is being linked with Chelsea once again now. As reported here in the Daily Mail, it's believed that Roman Abramovich wants Kaka at the club to play in behind Fernando Torres and it's believed that the 28 year old could be available at a knock down price of around £25m.
For me I am not so sure whether this one would ever come to fruition. He has been linked before and he didn't come, he chose Madrid and we all know it hasn't worked out there for him so far. He came off the bench at the weekend for Madrid and scored so I just wonder if Jose will decide to give him more time on the pitch, and if Kaka can force his way into his plans.
However, if he was to come to Chelsea it would be fantastic news. I wonder though if we are to stick with the formation we have seen in the last couple of games, If Kaka would replace Anelka and slot straight in, or is Carlo thinking of deploying Torres up on his own in the future with Kaka behind in a new formation?.
These are questions we can ask ourselves numerous times between now and the end of the season. One thing we do know is that Carlo and the club have an eye on rejuvenating the squad and that is apparent after Roman splashed the cash on Torres and Luiz.
Like I said, it is a long time from now until the summer, so expect more on this one. Would be great if it was true though!
