JT on Torres: "I am just delighted we have got him!"

After meeting Fernando Torres for the first time in a training session and not on opposite sides of the football pitch facing up to each other, JT was asked about our new number 9 as once again featured in the Mirror. JT was quick to admit that playing against Torres hasn't been easy and is now looking forward to playing alongside the Spaniard.

He said:

“I know Fernando has said he is pleased to be on the same side as me now and I am delighted he is too - although I still have to face him in training!

We have had some great battles over the years. I was very impressed when he first came over and he made his debut against us and scored.

Physically, he is one of the strongest out there, his pace is frightening, his heading is unbelievable for his height and his finishing is top drawer - as we have seen to our cost a few times. I am just delighted we have got him".

I think it's safe to say we all are delighted. Although it pains me to show it, here is a video of exactly what JT has been talking about when it has come to facing up against Torres when we have had to face him.



I have to agree, he is top class and how many times this week have we pinched ourselves at the fact he is a Chelsea player!.
