So gradually the dust is beginning to settle down after the events at the beginning of the week. Carlo Ancelotti has a new headache and this time it's a good one. Fernando Torres is fit and raring to go in what he calls "destiny" against his old club and I am sure there are one or two Liverpool fans fearing the worst at the Bridge.
I have posted on here asking you guys your thoughts on the formation we think Carlo is going to employ and the fact that after his display against Sunderland in a withdrawn position, it looks as though Nico Anelka has forced his way into Carlo's plans.
It looks almost certain that Torres will play. I just wonder how the player will handle the situation of making his debut at Chelsea, at home and against his old club?. He has faced a barrage of abuse and I think we can pretty much be certain that it will be more than hostile on Sunday.
If anything, if I was Torres, I would be right up for this game. I wrote a piece earlier in the week stating that it was time Liverpool fans faced the facts about Torres and it still remains. Of course the likes of Phil Thompson, John Aldridge and other ex-players have well and truly dug the knife into Torres ever since then and I am sure Torres would have seen the images of the fans burning his shirt the other day.
It will be interesting to see how Carlo manages the player and the side with having Torres now. John Terry has spoken of the buzz around the club now and the fact that it's such an important time for us, it's another game we have to win. I keep saying it, but just remember that I posted a few weeks ago that at the time the next seven games would define our season. We have won three out of three so far and are looking for Sunday to make it four.
We cannot forget that Liverpool are on a run of form themselves at the moment and Luis Suarez has already scored on his debut so his confidence will be high. They will be looking to come to the Bridge to put one over on Torres and Chelsea so expect no easy game.
So I am wondering what you the fans expect to see from Torres, Chelsea and Liverpool on Sunday looking ahead of the game. We have to bear in mind these games are never dull, both sides are playing well and with the Torres factor taking everything away from the rest of the players on show, I just wonder:
Will he become and instant hero and break Liverpool hearts?
