Roman Abramovich to sell Chelsea?.

Now it may be complete rubbish and just word of mouth that has turned into Chinese Whispers, but there is a rumour that is going around that Roman Abramovich will cut his ties with Chelsea and sell up at the end of the season and look to re-invest his money in Zenit St Petersburg in Russia.

Well all know and have seen Roman's commitment and joy at Russia being awarded the World Cup, and it would make sense for him to look to be far more involved there but I just wonder if this really is the case and he will sell.

We have seen little activity in the transfer market in the last few seasons, we have been linked a whole host of top names and signings but none of them came to fruition. We have seen managers come and go and Roman has paid a huge amount of compensation to them in the past and let's face it, Carlo has recently had a run of results that is worse than any of the others but remains in charge at the Bridge. The reason, possibly the fee that would have to be paid to him and the backroom staff believed to be in excess of £10m.

On this site I asked the question last week "Who is to blame" and a few people have blamed Roman. Some even went as far as to say he should sell up and leave which you have to say is surprising as we have no choice but to remember how far we have come since he took over.

However, the more I think about it, the fact that he hardly attends as many games these days as he used to and everything else in consideration that is happening and has happened to the club in this and recent seasons, I just wonder and have to ask the question to you the fans:

Will Roman sell up and if he does, where would Chelsea go from here?
