I was reading this article in the Mirror this morning and wondered if they were onto something. The article claims that one or both of Drogba and Malouda could remain on the bench this weekend with Danny Sturridge possibly keeping his starting place after impressing against Ipswich last weekend.
The article claims that Drogba and Anelka's on field relationship has "broken down" which is way off the mark in my view and Malouda has been misfiring of late.
I have to say when it comes to Malouda he does provide the perfect balance down the left hand side but his form has been less than impressive. Has anyone else noticed that he no longer looks like he is enjoying his football and seems to have "beef" with everything going on. It has affected his form and I personally think maybe, just maybe, Carlo will use the Blackburn game to send a message to Malouda by leaving him benched.
As for Drogba I am not sure. He isn't playing well as we all know but he still is the best centre forward in the Premier League when he is on his game and can turn a game in an instant.
One thing is for sure though, Sturridge is high on confidence and scoring goals so its pretty much straight forward, he has to start.
What do you guys think? Who would you start against Blackburn on Saturday?. Please give your reasons for picking the players you have.
