With Chelsea's reported move for a more experienced Centre Half to finally replace Ricardo Carvalho, it seems that the club is looking to allow the most promising youngsters to continue to learn their trade playing at the highest level in a move that I personally agree with. In light of the moves for new players, it's being reported here that Newcastle are seeking a loan agreement for Jeffrey Bruma.
Of course when it comes to Chelsea's much commented on Youth Policy, everyone has their individual views. I personally would be disappointed to see Bruma leave the club even on loan as I believe that he should be given more of a chance to show what he can do but what's happened at Chelsea this season has had a major affect and influence on the club and manager's thinking.
In an ideal world, we wouldn't have had the injuries we have, wouldn't be struggling to win games and suffered the loss of form we have. Bruma would have been encouraged to play more in the "lesser games" with Carlo using the option to rest JT, Alex and Ivanovic to keep them fresh. However, because of the shit we are in, Carlo has no choice but to keep playing our best available eleven between now and the end of the season so Bruma has little option to play.
So thinking about that, and bearing in mind Bruma wants to play then a move up north to the Geordies will be a good move for him. Let's face it he would have more chance of playing there than he will at the Bridge and that's no disrespect to Newcastle at all. I really rate him as a player and in my view could be World Class.
If he does move on loan up there then good luck to him!.
