Carlo Ancelotti has spoken today of the transfer window and has revealed that he never met with Steven Pienaar, about the Luiz situation and also Gael Kakuta's possible loan move to neighbours Fulham.
Carlo said of Pienaar:
'You have to ask Pienaar, not me. I didn't speak with him. I never met in my life Steven Pienaar. I didn't search Steven Pienaar to come here to play for Chelsea. We don't need a midfielder, we don't need to have these kind of players.'
Carlo on Luiz:
'Luiz is not here and I think he will not be available for the game! so it is not right to speak about this. I am waiting for the end of the transfer market, if there are new players it means we needed to have these players, if not it means we didn't need to.'
Carlo on Kakuta:
'We are thinking about it, It is good for our young players to play games and we are thinking about this, but we didn't take a decision about Kakuta.'(Source:Chelseafc.com)
Nothing but truth and honesty from Carlo on all these rumours. When do you hear a Manager openly admit he has had an enquiry from Fulham from a youngster and is thinking about it, before you hear only the confirmation come through at a later date. I have had my say on the Kakuta deal here so make sure you check it out.
As for Pienaar, very strange. Why would he say what he has and then Carlo reveals he never spoke with him? Could it be that the players agent was trying to get his player a better deal?. Then again, I posted on here about the deal, it was obvious that the board wanted the player but Carlo put the end to it as he didn't want him. I wonder if everything is A-OK behind the scenes as I have asked before.
As for David Luiz, I posted a Video of him on here the other day. To me he is someone we need and at the age he is would be a solid investment. Carlo gives the impression that we are defiantly talking to Benfica, but will the deal come off.
So the impression we have from Carlo is "If something happens it does, if it doesn't then it doesn't" which indicates to me once again, it's now out of his hands.
What do you guys think of Carlo's press conference and everything stated?
