Just as Carlo Ancelotti yesterday spoke of Carlos Tevez and the "reported interest" in him from Chelsea by saying:
"There are a lot of rumours but I think that everything will be okay with him and Manchester City because he is a fantastic player. He is very important to City and I don't think they can afford to let him go."(Source:Fulham Chronicle)
We find out last night that after "Clear the air talks" he has withdrawn his written transfer request. Even after the headlines in the papers carried the story that he had said "100% I will leave but will still give my all!" It just makes the whole situation a mockery.
Just like Wayne Rooney and his "statement" released earlier in the season, it's scandalous and thank god so far, no one at Chelsea had been advised by their agents to do the same.
How on earth can you be so determined to want to leave the club, or like Tevez even go as far as to state that you have played your last game, and stating that you HAVE to leave, to then suddenly have a change of heart and be HAPPY to stay!?
If you ask me it seems these advisers and agents and people that have had nothing to do with playing football themselves are just looking to make the most money they can for themselves via their "players" and all it's doing in the long run is damaging football.
City have said in a statement that Tevez' contract remains the same and it was purely footballing reasons. So why stay if you were that unhappy? His contract may have stayed the same but I bet he still took the reported £1m bonus that was originally offered to him by City!.
Yes I know thinking back a couple of weeks back the official figures released showing how much money went to players agents etc stated Chelsea paying the most, but you have to say it seems that Roman and the club are having none of it anymore and you have to argue in this case it's about time too!.
How on earth can Wayne Rooney and Carlo Tevez's relationship with their club and the fans ever be 100% as it was EVER? If anyone tells you from either of these clubs that they are 100% happy with them staying because they know that 100% the players wanted to stay because they felt it in the hearts and not being driven by agents is talking rubbish.
All Tevez and Rooney have done is make a mockery of our game and it will continue!....
