There are reports appearing today that Carlo Ancelotti is hoping that Frank Lampard will be fit enough to make a return to first team action this Sunday at Spurs, one week ahead of schedule. I have asked the question on here about how much we miss Lampard and the fact remains that Chelsea are not the same without him.
Without Lampard we have suffered, our form has taken a nose dive as we suffer the usual blip that all sides go through at one stage or another in the long Premier League season. The pressure is mounting on Carlo Ancelotti and the players and it's obvious we need Frank back sooner rather than later.
So I am wondering is Sunday the right time to rush Lampard back into first team action if he isn't fully fit?. There are complications that could arise if he suffers a recurrence of the injuries that have plagued his season so far. With massive games coming up in the next few weeks surely it is better to have him back in some capacity for all of them rather than rush him back for one game and then be in danger of losing him for a longer period of time.
However, we do really need him back. There will be a huge weight of expectation on Frank's shoulders that he will have to deal with when he does make his return and if anyone can lift the side, raise everyone's game, its Frank.
Its a tough one to call as we all want Frank back fit and firing. So I am asking you the Chelsea fans:
Should we rush him back for Spurs on Sunday?
