This whole Gael Kakuta (and Borini for that matter) situation seems to be rumbling on and we still haven't heard a dickie bird about whether he has signed or rejected the four year contract that has been offered to him by the club.
Articles all over the web are stating that he is seeking assurances from Chelsea as he has become concerned by lack of opportunities at the club. I really find this strange and again maybe the agents are partly to blame and the people he chooses to surround himself with outside of the walls of Stamford Bridge.
You have to say that now more than ever, is the best time to be at Chelsea with Carlo and the club's focus on bringing the youth team players through and especially this season seeing them in and around the team more than we have before.
The problem for me and I am not sure about the rest of you when I say this, is that when he has played in his Nike Soccer Shoes and apart from slight glimpses of what he can do, he hasn't really produced and as a result has been substituted in games, sometimes this season as early as half time.
With Bayern Munich and now AC Milan taking an interest in the players future we could find ourselves losing Kakuta and if we did I wouldn't be surprised. People as usual in the past few seasons are commenting on our "ageing squad" but you have to say that Lampard has a good few years in him yet, Drogba and Anelka the same so Kakuta may just realise that he has to go elsewhere to play a much more involved and important part in a team than he can at the moment at Chelsea.
One way or the other, next month we will realise where we stand and whether or not going through all the drama's with the investigation into how we signed him was a complete waste of time!.
