With Chelsea's recent run of defeats and the problems we have at centre back at the moment there have of course been plenty of rumours about possible transfer targets for Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the next transfer window in January as Carlo Ancelotti looks to bolster our back line.
There have been two names that have been constantly linked with Chelsea throughout the season so far and that's Gary Cahill or Bolton and Phil Jones of Blackburn.
It's being reported that Carlo will ask Roman Abramovich to part with up to £20m to bring Cahill to Chelsea from Bolton. Cahill has been a major part in Bolton's current success in the Premier League this season as they sit 5th after losing just two games so far this season. The belief is that Bolton wouldn't be able to turn down any sizeable bid from Chelsea.
Second on the list is the impressive Phil Jones from Blackburn. Being touted as the next John Terry. He is still a young player but has made rapid progress in the last year or so. Similar to JT he is strong and likes a tackle. Again, it is believed that Big Sam would find it hard to turn down a significant bid from Chelsea if Roman decided to make his move.
