The gamble today with John Terry.

It's no secret that JT is not 100% fit and that's massive for Chelsea today as we travel to Villa. Carlo has more or less confirmed that he needs JT to play today and has asked him to play through his pain today but I am wondering if it's the right or wrong thing to do?.

Carlo said yesterday:

"He is not 100%, no. He had a problem with his back and tried to train, and it wasn't perfect. I'll ask him if he's fit to play, but he is in my team at the moment."

So to me anyway it almost as though Carlo realises that we would be weakened badly with no JT or Alex and Bruma also had a slight problem this week. So to have both JT and Alex missing is a blow.

If anything I think JT is being asked to play today by what Carlo said shortly afterwards. He said:

"Villa are dangerous from set pieces because they have good jumpers. Missing Alex and Drogba is a blow, so we have to find solutions."

I believe JT is an obvious solution next to Ivanovic. Imagine if JT, Alex and Drogba were missing from our defensive positions when we were facing an attacking free kick or corner lumped into our box?, It could be a nightmare today.

That's why I believe JT has been asked to play today but I am wondering will the gamble pay off?
