With Chelsea's continued injury problems an important players missing for tomorrow's Champions League game against Spartak Moscow on that plastic pitch, rumours are rife that Carlo could rest one or two and throw the likes of Bruma, Borini, Kakuta and McEachran into the fire tomorrow.
We all know that Lampard is out for a couple of weeks, Drogba is still suffering with illness so is pointless to play him and Michael Essien looks like being rested.
So this means that Carlo can employ Zhirkov into the middle of midfield next to Mikel and Ramires or will he give McEachran a full game?. I wonder if JT is feeling the effects of his back injury after Saturday, if he is then Bruma can get the nod to play next to Ivanovic. Will he decide to rest Anelka or Malouda, if he does Borini could get the nod.
I think the important thing to remember is that both sides are unbeaten. Any loss to Spartak tomorrow hands the momentum to the Russian side in the table and we need to ensure we finish top to make sure we have a favourable draw in the next round. I can see maybe just the one change tomorrow and that's Zhirkov in for Essien but that's about it.
John Terry has spoken of the youngsters and said:
"The young players are bouncing around because they believe they have a real chance if they do the business in the reserves".
So I am asking what you the Chelsea fans think:
Should Chelsea rest players and give the youngsters a crack?KTBFFH.
I would say play the strongest team poss, it being a must win as in we have a better chance of topping the table. Play the youngsters when the games aren't so important. It may show lack of faith a little, but better to be safe I say.
ReplyDeleteKakuta has played pretty poorly whenever i've seen him, not sure why all the hype tbh.
ReplyDeleteI'd give Josh a game and some spinach, he's built like my 8 year old sister.
Don't see the need to play any other yougsters, not at this point in the competition anyway.
do it carlo
ReplyDeletei'd love to see josh play...kakuta has to figure it out for himself...he is trying way too much...i've heard that billy clifford is an awesome attacking right back in our reserve...why not give him an opening ??? bosingwa ain't there...i'm pretty sure bruma will get his call up tonight...borini...nay...since kalou is back
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't play those with injuries like Terry, forcing him to play might worsen his problem. Let's field the best possible but not force those doubtful, this is not a make or break game!
