As we move closer and closer to the January transfer window there is one player's future that is the subject of growing speculation at Chelsea and that's Gael Kakuta.
As we all know his contract expires at the end of the season and after an impressive display in the European tournament for France in the summer Kakuta is being linked with a return to France and Bayern Munich in Germany who are monitoring developments at Chelsea.
Carlo Ancelotti spoke of Kakuta and the situation regarding his contract and said:
"I am not Kakuta, but if I had to give my opinion, I would say he should stay and sign a new contract. But I am not involved in all that, and I am not interested. Anyway, no one is indispensable."Now to me Carlo's words shed a little light on the situation. He is basically saying that there is a contract on the table and he should sign it but maybe the people he chooses to surround himself with are after something extra and because of this Carlo has stated he could possibly leave.
Now if he does choose to leave it's a massive kick in the teeth for the club and everyone involved in signing him and then dealing with the out of court settlement they had to pay his old club Lens. I can only imagine it would cost the club a small fortune.
I hope he doesn't leave because his talent is obvious but if he is beginning to have his head turned by his agent and beginning to ask for silly money then maybe it's better he does leave. As Carlo says no one is indispensable. Just ask Joe Cole.
KTBFFH.
I want Kaku to stay, he is one for the future!
