One thing we can all expect at the moment is the "look who you have played" comments being thrown at us after our two 6-0 wins over West Brom and Wigan. The fact of the matter is that you can only play who is put in front of you each week.
Look at Manchester United. Started off with a home win against Newcastle and then drew away at Fulham. No disrespect to either side but you would have imagined Sir Alex would have those two games marked down as possibly six points when he looked at the start he has had this season!.
People need to remember our run to the title last season and the fact that we won all six of our games against the other three of the "established" top four last season.
I will say one thing, if you are a true Chelsea fan, been a fan of the side for years through the bad times and the recent good times and not just a glory hunter then you will know that at any stage we can make life extremely difficult for ourselves and we will always be expecting the worse to happen.
Our next three games are what some people say "easier" than others and again no disrespect to our opposition in those games, but anything can happen and you still need to take to the pitch and win a game and beat the players you are up against.
So our rivals can carry on bleating as far as I am concerned. After our dreadful pre season it's been nothing short of surprising so far the start we have had.
I will sound out a further warning to the rest of the league however, in the two games we have won 6-0 we only really played well and the way we are used to in the second halves of those games so imagine what we can be like if we hit the ground running earlier into our games!.
KTBFFH!
Good post, man! We make a good start, 12 goals in 2 matches proofs that we showing high quality football!!! True blue forever!!!
ReplyDeleteWell said and too bloody right....who knows Wigan and West Brom could have been Banana skins however the boys went in to the game in the right frame of mind and went for the jugular when they sensed the weakness in those teams! About time we did smash these teams instead of attracting the boring 1-0 and venom from the rest of the prem followers!. For once in my 40 years of supporting the famous Chels we are showing our true ability to kill of the opposition and so may it continue! Carefree
ReplyDeleteI've been a True Blue since 2000, from the day I started to follow football. I know what we were and what we are now.
ReplyDeleteFootball is so unpredictable, but with the squad we have and with the rich experience our lads have I whole heartedly believe that Chelsea are the best squad out there.
My prediction is
1. Chelsea
2. Arsenal
3. Man United
4. Man City
