Surprising news today that it looks like (if rumours are to be believed) that Miroslav Stoch could be leaving Chelsea to sign for Turkish giants Galatasary for approx 2.5 million.
I thought like alot of you that Stoch was highly regarded by Chelsea and had high hopes for him as part of our future but it seems that with the report in todays Mirror, that this isn't the case and after a successful loan spell at FC Twente where he won the league title, Galatasary are keen to get him.
Stoch has been named in the 23-man Slovakia squad for the World Cup and will look to further enhance his reputation this summer. The one thing that I can't understand is the clubs stance on this one.
The club and Carlo have said recently that its a time to bring some youngsters into the first team squad to replace players who will be leaving. It could even be as many as five of our youngsters so why wouldn't Stoch be part of that?.
With the likes of Scott Sinclair, Jack Cork and Franco Di Santo in the same position could it be that these three have the same destiny as Stoch and could see their futures away from Stamford Bridge or are Cork and Sinclair part of Carlo's plans to be involved full time with the first team?.
As far as Stoch goes, he never really had a chance here. He moved to Twente and proved his worth. Its just a shame that it looks like the door has closed shut for him at the Bridge.
KTBFFH!.
