The Chelsea Daily Drivel is a daily update of all the stories concerning our club, the rumours, the opinions and more....
So here is the latest from around the web on Wednesday 2nd June 2010....
After more recent speculation its seems that Sergio Aguero could be staying at Atletico Madrid after all. This post-season is the second summer running where Chelsea have been linked with making a move for Aguero. More recently it has been reported that Chelsea had first refusal on a deal and the player himself seemed to be talking up a move to Stamford Bridge.
However, ESPN are reporting that Aguero is set to stay at Madrid. The Atletico President Enrique Cerezo said:
For me I still wonder if Aguero would be able to handle the pace and power of the Premier League in England. At the moment with Didier Drogba and Nicola Anelka it's hard for someone to force their way ahead of those two. The thing is you never know what could happen this summer in South Africa and if he has already spoken of Chelsea beforehand, maybe just maybe something could happen.
Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness has advised Michael Ballack to quit the German National team. ESPN once again are running the story and have reported that at 33 with an Ankle injury forcing Ballack out of the World Cup, its a sign to call it a day as far as Germany goes. He said:
Let's face it, Ballack isn't getting any younger and probably has one more season left in him playing at the top level so its no surprise that he has been advised to quit and concentrate on playing club football.
Finally Sport.co.uk are reporting that Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has told any club who is interested in James Milner they would have to cough up 30 Million for him. I ran a report about Milner the other day and still see him as someone we should definatley be interesting in bringing to the club. With it looking like Joe Cole is more than likely going to leave us, Milner would be the idea replacement.
Keep your eyes peeled people! More tomorrow!
CAREFREE & KTBFFH!

"We have no intention of selling our players, Aguero is very happy at Atletico and in Madrid and, as far as I am aware, he has no offers."

"As a friend, I would recommend Michael to concentrate solely on his club after the World Cup, I don't think it would be clever to set the European Championships in 2012 as a goal. Even if it is bitter, you have got to be able to realise when the time has come to say enough is enough"
