The Chelsea Daily Drivel is a daily update of all the stories concerning our club, the rumours, the opinions and more....
So here is the latest from around the web on Tuesday 22nd June 2010 including: Di Santo, Silva again, Joe Cole, Nico Anelka and John Terry.
Firstly to the news reported late yesterday that Bolton are set to launch a 2 million move for Franco Di Santo. This is not the first time that this story has been reported on Chelseadaft and it seems as though this one is definatley gaining substance as the summer progresses. We all know that he didn't have a great time at Blackburn but Bolton boss Owen Coyle has seen the potential we all know Franco has and is looking to make a move. Keep your eyes peeled for more on this one.
Now more on the future of Valencia and Spain midfielder David Silva. Silva, wasn't a starter for Spain in their 2-0 victory last night in favour of Jesus Navas of Seville. Silva had spoken of his desire to come to Chelsea, but the press this morning have a different take on the transfer. The majority are reporting that Manchester City have agreed a 29m deal with Valencia and he is expected to sign a four year deal worth 160k per week!. Its also being said that Chelsea have refused to meet the 29m valuation that Valencia had put on his head. I have to say I find this strange as how many times have we heard that Roman is willing to spend money this summer to maintain our grip on the Premier League?.
Now to Joe Cole. There has been numerous reports and my favourite article I have written about Joe Cole being the most naturally gifted footballer to play for Chelsea, but it seems as though he has spoken out briefly about his time at Chelsea being over. The Mirror is reporting that he is "Heartbroken". They claim that he was holding out for 100k per week and Chelsea had only offered 80k and they failed to reach an agreement and as a result Chelsea withdrew their offer.
Now to Nico Anelka. Anelka arrived back into the UK yesterday after leaving the French World Cup squad. Its being reported everywhere that Chelsea have told him to "Keep Quiet" about what's happened and to not speak about it to the press. I have to say I think this is a wise decision as there is no point adding to the mess that is the France Team at the minute. I know its harsh, but let's hope they go out today and Malouda can have a rest before the new season!.
More on JT, if you haven't seen it yet, I am asking the question whether it was right for JT to speak out the other day in his England Press Conference so make sure you check that out and air your views!.
