he Chelsea Daily Drivel is a daily update of all the stories concerning our club, the rumours, the opinions and more....
So here is the latest from around the web on Monday 21st June 2010 including: Frank Lampard, John Terry and Nico Anelka.
After the whole John Terry outburst has taken up most of the headlines today (make sure you check out my take on what JT had to say ) Frank Lampard took to todays press conference and was asked about JT's conference yesterday. Lampard has played it down. He said:
Now also to JT's Press Conference yesterday when he also took his chance to speak out at Chelsea regarding Joe Cole. He said:
I think JT echo's alot of Chelsea fan's opinions. Quite rightly so!.
Now more on Anelka. As you all know the story broke yesterday that he had been sent home and the French squad refused to train as a result in protest. It seems as thought he made an apology to the coach but he was asked to release an official statement explaining that he had apologised for his outburst. Anelka chose not to, and as a result was sent home and has since retired from International Football.

After the whole John Terry outburst has taken up most of the headlines today (make sure you check out my take on what JT had to say ) Frank Lampard took to todays press conference and was asked about JT's conference yesterday. Lampard has played it down. He said:
"I think it's been particularly overdone in terms of a 'crisis meeting'. The meeting was just the manager dealing with the Algeria match and we moved on. I don't think anyone wants to give too much away about what was said. It's been particularly overdone in terms of a 'crisis meeting'. But I understand what John Terry was saying because he's passionate like that, as a player and as a person.
Every person deals with things differently. Some won't say much and others want to hit things head-on. But people want to see a reaction and people have said Terry has said some positive things. We'll try to hit things head-on on the training ground."
Now also to JT's Press Conference yesterday when he also took his chance to speak out at Chelsea regarding Joe Cole. He said:
"It still amazes me how the club have come to the conclusion of letting Joe go, We are disappointed with him going. He was a great boost for us, coming back from his injury, and it was the right time for Chelsea for him to come back into the side. He got a great goal away from home at Manchester United, which proved to be vital. Joe is one of the best players in our country. He has come back from an injury and showed great form for Chelsea."
I think JT echo's alot of Chelsea fan's opinions. Quite rightly so!.
