The Chelsea Daily Drivel is a daily update of all the stories concerning our club, the rumours, the opinions and more....
So here is the latest from around the web on Friday 4th June 2010 including, The new 3rd kit for next season, Franco Di Santo off to Bolton? The Premier League are waiting on Chelsea and Man City to spend, Has Yaya Toure signed for a Premier League club already and Carlo calls Anelka his "Van Basten"..
Firstly EPL Talk have found what has been reported as being the Chelsea 3rd kit next season and I have to say its horrible. I don't know what Adidas were thinking. Take a look for yourselves.

Next is the news that Bolton are taking a serious interest in Chelsea's Franco Di Santo. The Daily Mirror is reporing that Bolton are prepared to make a 2 million bid for the frontman and Chelsea would be prepared to sell to make space for new arrivals to come into the club.
Is this a case of another youngster who has a proven goalscoring record in the youth team and reserves not being given a chance and sold?
Sunderland Chief Exec Executive Steve Walton is reported as saying that the Premier League clubs are waiting for Chelsea and Man City to make their moves in the transfer market before anyone else can conduct any business this summer.
He is quoted as saying:
Is this true? Is there a case now in the Premier League that the smaller clubs are relying on players being sold for big money and looking to sell their best players to stay afloat?
Yaya Toure's agent has made a statement regarding the future of his player and has confirmed a deal has been struck with a Premier League side. Toure has been linked with Chelsea in the past couple of days as reported on this site so could it be with Chelsea?. His agent said:
Its more than likely in my view that he could possibly sign for Man City and link up with his brother Kolo Toure.
Finally, Carlo Ancelotti has spoken of Nicolas Anelka this past season and has compared him to Marco Van Basten. The Daily Mail carries the article about Anelka as a debate rages on in France about Anelka's best position. Carlo believes he is so versatile that he is like Van Basten. He said:
Anelka has been a mainstay in the side this season. His overall contribution to our Double Success has been immense. Let's hope its the same next season!.

Sunderland Chief Exec Executive Steve Walton is reported as saying that the Premier League clubs are waiting for Chelsea and Man City to make their moves in the transfer market before anyone else can conduct any business this summer.
He is quoted as saying:
"There is not a lot going on in the transfer market, and my personal view is that it will remain quite quiet. I think that Manchester City and Chelsea will do quite a lot, and what we really need for a good transfer market this summer is for some big money to be injected into the system to oil the wheels.
Clubs are not awash with cash. It is difficult to borrow money in the wider world, and almost impossible in football. You are not going to your friendly bank asking for a few million pounds to buy a footballer now because it is just not happening. There is not much money in the system, and I don't believe there will be a huge amount of activity. We have already heard Sir Alex Ferguson say that he may bring in just one more player.
My fear is that the big money will go overseas," he said. "You really need some big domestic transfers to go through to help get things moving. When Chelsea first started spending big a few years ago they were largely buying in the UK on the likes of Joe Cole, Frank Lampard and Shaun Wright-Phillips. That funded a lot of Premier League transfer activity because the money filtered down, but that wouldn't happen this summer if the money goes abroad."
"If everything goes well, Yaya will go to England," Dimitri Seluk told Ona FM. "But we can't talk about definite clubs. We already have a closed deal, and all will be resolved before the World Cup."
He said:
'Nicolas is complete and versatile, With me this season he has played several positions: as centre forward, a No 9 and deeper, and also on the wings - left and right. Even if Nicolas is very good everywhere, I think his best position is centre forward. He's excellent when used deep. His speed hurts. He is very useful with his back to goal, and in front of goal he has composure and is effective. Nicolas likes to touch the ball and be at the heart of the action. He can be more effective than a centre forward who doesn't move".
Anelka has been a mainstay in the side this season. His overall contribution to our Double Success has been immense. Let's hope its the same next season!.
