I reading today that after Chelsea's first ever double winning season Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho have had their dig and more or less belittled the achievements of Carlo and our team. Sir Alex feels that Jose's Chelsea were stronger than our current Champions.
Sir Alex said:
"Jose is an intelligent guy. Each time he speaks to the media, he galvanises his team. He has a tremendous affect on his players. The Chelsea of today have not rediscovered this unshakeable faith, even if they have won the title.
With Mourinho, I understood after two Chelsea title wins that I had to adapt my preparation for my team to be competitive earlier in the season. I could not allow myself to let Chelsea get away. The Mourinho challenge was one of intelligence, of confidence in one's self. I had to pick up this challenge!".
When asked of our title success Jose responded in his usual style once more by saying:
"I’m happy Chelsea won the title, but please don't compare this Man United with my Man United. Don't compare this Arsenal with my Arsenal. My Arsenal was a team that won the league without defeat in 2003-04, Don't compare this Liverpool with my Liverpool. And don't compare this Premiership with my Premiership".
After reading these quotes from these two its hardly unexpected. For Sir Alex he has to pick himself and his club up once again to deal with the challenge King Carlo and his Chelsea side now represent after taking the title away from Old Trafford and brought back to the Bridge.
The thing that gets me is the God given right that all United fans feel that they have to win the League. You have to earn the right and the fact that Chelsea have done the double over the three other top 4 sides proves we were rightful winners.
As for Jose,
He will always be Jose Mourihno, and by winning the Champions League for a second time with Inter Milan last night after Porto before, his stock has risen again. Its almost certain that he will be off to Real Madrid this week. The press will always want to listen to what he has to say, even more so now.
Maybe some people will say that his Chelsea were stronger than Carlo's. For me though thats not the case. Carlo has given Roman Abramovich exactly what he wanted, winning football but exciting at the same time.
Lets just see how Real Madrid and their fans take to Jose's winning at all costs approach to football. Let's see what has happened this time next year and what kind of seasons Carlo, Sir Alex and Jose have had.
KTBFFH
becouse the man beat you twise moriniho never not beat you twise frist moriniho tow season united weaker than now so chelsea didnt buy any good player this season
ReplyDeleteancholeti more beeter than you old joulus man
i think you've got a chip on your shoulder, their only comments, they have to say that, otherwise it belittles there own achievments, Utd will probably win it again next year anyway, with our aging side, can't see lampard, drogba, cech and anelka improving much more, so the only way is down from here, in a normal season we would have been smashed and luck to be ahead of arsenal, we need serious signings to compete with arsenal and Utd next season
ReplyDeleteunited had a chunk of the season with 1 fit defender and carrick and fletcher filling in yet still could have won the title - think that says plenty about the arsenal, liverpool and chelsea of today.
ReplyDelete"The thing that gets me is the God given right that all United fans feel that they have to win the League"
ReplyDeleteOh really? And just how many real United fans do you actually know? I'm one (from manchester for the record zzzzz) and know plenty of others like me and none of us would ever think that way. You're getting confused with JCLs who latch themselves onto winning teams, trust me you have enough of them yourselves nowadays- youre welcome to them. But I wouldn't be lazy and stupid enough to confuse them with some of your old skool fans, who like me know what it's like to go decades without winning anything. Those lads would never come out with this sort of sterotypic crap. Think on eh?
whose fault your players got injured at man-u, get on with it and before you start your statement pls check Chelsea's line up at the beginning of the season and how many players got injured so that says it all
ReplyDeleteThe league is healthy. It is always good to see a different team win it. I am a die hard Utd fan. To be honest this year Chelsea was the better side. We went from a team that revolved around Ronaldo to a team playing more or less like the 1999 squad. In a way I am more than pleased that we did really well despite the fact of going thru many bad spells this season. Comparing us with the Chelskis, I reckon next season we will be by far the better side like we have always been.
ReplyDeleteFerguson is very greedy..Very ungrateful and to add to his he doesn't accept defeat.. Sometimes i football you have to let it go.. Chelsea has done the double and that is the fact
ReplyDelete"For Sir Alex he has to pick himself and his club up once again to deal with the challenge King Carlo and his Chelsea side now represent after taking the title away from Old Trafford and brought back to the Bridge." once again you said, since when has SAF had to pick himself up to deal with Carlo before ???
ReplyDelete"Carlo has given Roman Abramovich exactly what he wanted" what a horrible comment. It shouldn't ever be about what that b*stard wants, it should be what the fans want. And anyway, like JT said, Roman and the fans want European success, mind you the current Chelski won't achieve that...
The oldies at the club will come back to bite you in the ass - mark my words !
