On this week’s show, Chidge, Dr Mart, ChelTel and Ross discuss the great win at Old Trafford against Norwich City (sorry Man Utd!), Carlo, the team and the fans performance in the show, and the realistic aim of a Premier League and FA Cup Double.
Carlo clearly listens to the Chelsea Football FanCast as he played the same team and formation that beat Villa and resisted the temptation of putting the Drogs back in. Dominating the Mancs, Joe Cole wonder goal, tactics spot on. Shimples!
The boys are unusually unanimous in their Man of the Match, Guinness and Celery Moments and a Chant of the match awards. Malouda, Drogba and Joe Cole fight it out for the Man of the Match, Cole’s goal is a shoe in or should that be heal in for the Guinness Moment, there are many Norwich themed candidates in Chant of the match and the brave 3,000, who with Mancs to the left of them and Mancs to the right of them, totally out sung them in the best away performance by the Chelsea faithful in years fully deserve the Celery Moment! Proper Chels!
With the title challenge back on track, the first double in the clubs history is on the cards if we can beat Villa next Saturday in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. For the first time in the Chelsea Football FanCast’s history all of the boys will be sitting together for a match. With a long drinking session in the Victoria pub beforehand it could be a long and messy day! The boys preview the match with a little bit of Chelsea FA Cup semi final history, and hope Carlo uses the adage that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Put the champagne on Ice, we’re going to Wembley twice is confidently predicted.
As it’s the beginning of the month, that can mean only one thing – that’s right, Ross gives his selection for Goal of the Month which you can vote on – the winner to be announced in the next show.
All that plus another song from the Chelsea Football FanCast Playlist in We’re out to show the world the way to sing, Dr Martin giving us another therapeutic session of Dear Mart and Chidge reading out some of the best posts from the week in “You’re on CFFC”
