The boys discuss beating the Mancs in an attritional 1-0 win, Drogba’s goal scoring return in the 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid, and the controversial Stamford Bridge naming rights issue, plus “We’re out to show the world the way to sing!”, “Dear Mart” and “You’re on CFFC”.
‘Stamford Bridge’ resembled a war zone on Sunday, as the Chels battled a particularly petulant Man Utd for a 1-0 win.
It may have been ‘Remembrance Sunday’ but the attritional match was far from memorable, apart from the welcome result and 5 point gap opened up against our main rivals for the title.
Fergie’s tactics, Chelsea’s performance, JT’s bulldog display and Man Utd’s nasty and petulant behavior are all discussed, as well as the awarding of the Guinness and Celery Moments, and Man and Chant of the match.
We look back at the midweek performance against Atletico Madrid, and applaud the Drog’s two goal comeback to Champions League football…but little else!
We turn our attention to Ron Gourlay’s intention to sell the naming rights to ‘Stamford Bridge’ for £100 million, and a passionate and heated debate from the boys ensues as to the rights and wrongs in doing so, but where does the Chelsea Football FanCast stand on the issue? All will be revealed, but we can guarantee that ‘Stamford Chidge’, won’t be selling his naming rights to anybody, whatever the price offered!!!
All of that plus Chris and Stu leading us in a rousing rendition of another Chelsea terrace classic in “We’re out to show the world the way to sing!” accompanied by Champagne and a cake with a rocket in it to celebrate Chris and Joe Cole’s birthday!
With Dr Mart recovering in hospital, ChelTel is in the Doctors chair to answer your Chelsea questions on JT v Chopper, whatever happened to Phil Driver, and are there any US players good enough for Chelsea in “Dear Mart”. And as always, Chidge has a look at the best of the posts on our Facebook group in “You’re on CFFC”.
Oh and did I mention ChelTel’s killer fart and Chidge and Chel Tel giving you a rendition of Alexei Sayle’s ‘Revolutionary Biscuits of Italy’ song….only on…
