Wolves huffed and puffed but they couldn’t blow our house down as Chelsea’s Champagne football gives them a record breaking 12th consecutive home win.
Chelsea made Wolves look more like Goldilocks as a storming performance from Michael Essien tore them apart. Four nil flattered Wolves who were lucky to get nil, as Chelsea’s Champagne Football flowed with standout performances from everyone, but most pleasingly Champagne Topped with Joe Cole’s first goal since October last year. And we managed to top even that with Gael Kakuta’s eagerly awaited first senior appearance, with some flamboyant and confident touches pointing to a stellar future.
As well as discussing all of that, the boys award their Guinness and Celery Moments, Man and Chant of the match in the show, with Joe Cole, Malouda, Kakuta, Michael Essien, the Bouncy, Mother Brown (!) and the idiot Wolves player who couldn’t even take a throw in properly all featuring.
In a bumper edition of "We’re out to show the world the way to sing", we go through every song featuring each player and a new one for unsung hero Petr Cech. Hopefully Chidge’s singing is up to scratch after the slagging it got from the last show!
Dr Mart is back with us, accompanied by two walking sticks after his visit to Hospital. The ‘bionic’ Chelsea Fan is on fine form and it’s good to have him back where he belongs, to answer all your Chelsea questions in "Dear Mart". This week he answers questions (surprise surprise) on the shaming and naming of Stamford Bridge, Thierry Henry’s ‘Hand of Frog’, funny Chelsea chants and why is old red nose such a sore loser.
Finally, Chidge has a look at your posts on the Facebook group wall in “You’re on CFFC” , with Kalou and Di Santo getting an honorable mention, and even more on the naming rights and Henry issues.
