Chidge, Mart, Chris and Ross discuss our deserved but last minute victory against the Potters on Saturday. But, no matter, that’s why we’re Champions! The game against Stoke looked more like a 2 falls and a submission result rather than 2-1with Stokes somewhat agricultural tactics. We award our Man of the Match, Guinness and Celery Moments. Will Drogba make it 4 out 5 Man of the Match wins?
We look forward to our first Champions League match of the season on Tuesday against Porto – who we seem to play as regularly as Liverpool and Barcelona, and even further ahead to next Sunday’s encounter at the Bridge against a small club living on their ancient history who play at Shite Hart Lane. All in all one of our favourite games of the year – can’t wait!! Appropriately, Chris warms us up for the Spurs match with a couple of classic Spurs related songs from the terraces in “We’re out to show the world the way to sing!”
We announce the winner of our “Chelsea Here Chelsea There” competition and one lucky listener is the winner of the book signed by Kerry Dixon, and also the book’s authors: Mark Worrall, Kelvin Barker and the legendary David Johnstone, who of course were on the show last week. No Chel Tel this week, so we’ll have to wait for another edition of Chel Tel’s Classic Years. Rumour has it that he is stuck in his attack having been almost buried alive in an avalanche of programmes from the ‘80’s. We’ll be sending out a search party if we don’t hear from him in a day or two!
