Ok so another Florent Malouda goal saw us nick the points from Stoke in the dying minutes once more but you have to say it was enough to see us through and put us three points clear at the top of the league. Spurs slipped up against Man Utd so it was a chance we had to take and we did.
I won't say alot at this stage about the goal we conceeded as it looked as though as soon as it happened Cech knew it was his fault. How many times to you see someone from the opposition head into an empty net against Chelsea? Hardly ever ! Plus not only that but our marking seemed awful to allow the free header in the first place.
Now I didn't get to see the whole game as I was moving house, but from the highlights it seemed as though we kept digging away at the opposition and created more chances than they did. Looking at the official stats from the game it shows that they only had two shots on target & two off target in the whole game compared to our 18 shots in total with ten on target and that in itself tells its own story.
Chelsea battled away and some might say we can't see how on earth we didn't put to bed the three points earlier but we battled back and it was stunning goal from Drogba that put us back on level terms. A cute ball with just the right amount of pace from Lampard played Drogba in and his left foot rocket-shot beat the keeper all ends up and made it 1-1.
It wasn't until into injury time once more that Malouda fired in the winner (which i thought, even though he was wrong footed, the keeper should of done better with) that the keeper couldn't handle but we dominated the game in the second half. A Robert Huth header just over the bar was the nearest that Stoke could muster but it was all Chelsea.
Malouda struck and we took home the points and broke Stoke hearts once more. Some say it was last-gasp, some say we were lucky, some say well deserved but Ancelotti says

"We got what we deserved because we tried to attack all the time. I am very happy because it was a difficult game. We maintained good control throughout the match and that was important. We applied a lot of pressure and were rewarded for our play. We know all about Stoke and were not surprised by the way they play. We were ready for a physical match and knew how to deal with the long ball. To be top of the league is very important. We have good confidence in our play and a very good atmosphere in the dressing room."So we are top of the league after another fightback and gutsy win at not the easiest place to go. It shows we have a togetherness about the place, real character in the squad and a will to win that you never know will define just how long we stay top of the league this season!
