There isn't anyone in the country (apart from Burnley fans) who are not surprised by the start that Owen Coyle's Burnley have had to their Premier League season. To have two great results against Man Utd and Everton where virtually all of us would of had them down as home "bankers" is fantastic and they are next at the Bridge on Saturday for the lunchtime, televised kick off at 1245.
They come to the Bridge full of confidence and there is no doubt that they will come to set their stall out to not give anything away and to make life difficult for us. But that's pretty much par for the course these days unless you are Top 6 in the League then you come to the Bridge with a different attitude. But, as I keep saying, this is a new Chelsea that will pass and pass till it grinds you down.
Make no mistake Burnley will have to play to their very best on Saturday to compete with Chelsea. Don't get me wrong, they will compete from the very first whistle but will they have the legs on them to maintain their pressing game for 90 minutes? I doubt it.
Burnley played in the week in the League Cup ( and I am being honest when I say I wasn't really paying attention to their starting eleven ) whereas we have had a full week to train and prepare for the game. The added bonus for us is that we have all the players back fit and in full training so Carlo Ancelotti has a full squad to choose from. But, I can see players like Zhirkov, Belletti and Ferriera being rested to get more training under their belt along with Joe Cole. There is a slight chance one or two of them will be involved but for me there isn't any point.
It will be interesting however to see the side he picks to take to the field and the formation. Whoever he picks will surely be strong enough to take another 3 points on Saturday. Our defence looks like its getting stronger after the clean sheet against Fulham last weekend. Our midfield is the strongest in the league and with Drogba and Anelka up front we look potent.
So I can safely say, hand on heart it will be another home win for Chelsea after a spirited display from Burnley. 3-0 Chelsea!
