No More - Ancelotti

In his pre match press conference today Carlo Ancelotti responded to being questioned about players leaving. There has been numerous rumors in the press and have been posted and reported by me on this blog since long before Ancelotti took over in the Summer. So it was not really a surprise he was asked about the likes of Carvalho and Deco leaving in response to the reports that Jose claimed the blues had made it difficult for him to sign them!.

He said:

"We never talked to sell Carvalho and Deco. They are important players for Chelsea, because Carvalho is a very intelligent defender and Deco has great quality that we need. They stay in Chelsea for this season.

We don't have this idea to sell players. If one player is not happy to stay with us he has to say, but now at the moment nobody has asked to be (sold)".

So it looks as though he has his squad and he is happy. If you look at chelseafc.com and check out the team photo in the new suits, and just have a look and the players he has at his disposal this season, you have to say its no wonder he is happy. There isn't another side that can boast the strength in depth and in numbers that we have.

If Carvalho and Deco continue to play well as in pre season then they will be a positive for Chelsea this season!
