(This picture has been doctored to not show the side above us for obvious reasons!) So with Liverpool losing their second game out of three and United already losing one of theirs it makes me wonder just how good our start has been?.
Ok so Liverpool lost two tricky games at Spurs and Aston Villa at home but last season they would of had these down as 3 points. United have lost to Burnley after all, and we have beaten Hull, Sunderland and Fulham.
So are we all jumping on the "we are gonna win the league bandwagon?". Well as far as our play in each of those games goes we have to say that we have been very impressive. Ok Liverpool won convincingly the other night and United away on Saturday but each of our wins as been done in some style apart from the Hull game.
People, including me, have said about the fact that these two sides have lost important players in the summer and this will have an effect on them, there is no doubt about that. We have maintained our squad, signed players one or two new deals and have added to the squad with quality, experience and youth and we are looking very strong.
This weekend see's the Blues entertain Burnley at the lunchtime kick off at 1245 on Saturday and we must seize the chance to make it 4 out of 4 in the League before the likes of Liverpool and United play again. United have the trip to the Emirates on Saturday and Liverpool away to Bolton so as we have seen since the Premier League started up again for these two, you just never know!. Its a long old season.
There will be twists and turns, of that there is no question. But to be 6 points clear of Liverpool and 3 of United at this early stage in the season is surely some sort of stepping stone that we need to build upon and set our stall out for what could be a very successful season for Chelsea!
