So reports this morning state that Carlo Ancelotti craves another creative player in midfield to give Roman Abramovich the stylish football he wants. So the question is who is the player that he is looking for?.
Obviously there is Franck Ribery. Now like I have said before, we are after him and made a bid even though he has said that he wanted to sign for Madrid if he left Bayern. So even though this guy is a good player and would definitely be an asset for any side, its obvious that he doesn't want to come so this to me is dead in the water.
Some people have mentioned Arjen Robben but, as we have already signed Florent Malouda on a contract extension and have brought in Yuri Zhirkov then another one that is dead in the water for me. Besides, when do you ever see Chelsea re-sign a player under Roman's Ownership (Apart from trying to get Glen Johnson)?.
There has been rumour after rumour this summer since the season finished and you have to say that we are no closer to bringing someone in. Now maybe that's because we have been waiting for Carlo Ancelotti to officially start in his role as the new manager but then again like I have posted before on my blog players have seen the big money being thrown around in Europe at the moment and knowing some clubs have stupid amounts of money and are pricing themselves out of deals.
Lets just focus on the possible creative players that would be available. First up is Wesley Sneijder at Madrid. As we all know Madrid have thrown the chequebook at their problems and with the likes of Kaka and Ronaldo signed it looks as though he is surplus to requirements. He defiantly is a class act and proved that in his first season at Madrid and the European Championships before that.

So who else is available first, then would be able to improve our squad?. That's the question for Ancelotti and it will become clear after he gets to grips with the squad and has more of an idea after working with the players.
