KAKA
So today the whole Kaka story took a couple of twists compared to the reports yesterday that we had made a world record bid for him. AC Milan Chief Executive Galliani has stated that he will not be joining Chelsea. He has said "An agreement with Chelsea could not exist" and he went onto say that he is in negotiations with Madrid but nothing has been finalised and they can't afford to lose 70 million euros per season.
Also Frank Lampard who is with the England team said today that its exciting times at Chelsea under the new manager and he told Chelseafc.com " We have a very strong group at Chelsea anyway but to see us linked with those names and the quality of player, I don't want to go into individuals, but the intention seems there from Chelsea with the Manager".
So for me there must be some truth in it about Kaka. Maybe it was a stipulation of Ancelotti leaving when they agreed to terminate his contract a year early that he couldn't take Kaka with him?. I think Ancelotti needs to build the side around Lampard and not Kaka!
PIRLO
Andrea Pirlo today has attempted to distance himself from a move to Chelsea today. He said: "It is sorry for everyone that Ancelotti left but it was natural that after so much time he wanted a new experience. My English, Ancelotti's is better but i am happy at Milan".
For me this one needs to stay dead in the water. I can't see how he improves our already strong midfield. Given space and time he can hurt you but i can't see him handling the pace of the Prem.
BOSINGWA
Its been reported in the German Newspaper "Bild" that Bayern Munich are preparing a bid for Jose Bosingwa. What do you people think about this one? I am not sure if I am honest. He is fantastic going forward and seems to of improved his defending under Hiddink but can you see Chelsea letting him go? The reason I am asking the question is because of the story that follows this one!. Let me know what you think. I personally think if he goes, he goes and if he stays then thats great for us, but with the likes of Deco and Carvalho possibly on their way out he COULD follow.
GLEN JOHNSON
Its been reported that Chelsea were locked in talks last night with Portsmouth over the transfer of Glen Johnson back to the Bridge for a fee that could eventually rise to 17 million pounds.
Roman Abramovich is reported to of always liked him and his attacking ability even if Jose didn't. Its rumoured that Johnson was recommended to Ancelotti by Fabio Capello.
This is an interesting one for me. We all loved Glen Johnson when he was here and to see him back would be great. I believe if we do sign him it would see Bosingwa leave. You have to say that Johnson has definatley improved in his time at Portsmouth and this is the time to get him back in our ranks.
DECO
Its reported that Deco is on the verge of leaving Chelsea on a free transfer this summer and link up once again with Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan. Sorry but for me, this is no great loss at all. After such a promising start he faded away, failed to make another impact once he returned from injury and has never featured since. Bye Deco and thanks.
ETO'O
Apparently Samuel Eto'o has been made available at Barcelona by Juane Laporta and we are interested. The fact that he is available is a surprise for me and this is one we should follow up. At the moment the big story about him is a link with Man City for £20m but i am sure 100% if Chelsea come knocking, there is only one place that he will come this summer. His pace and attacking ability is second to none and would prove an excellent addition to the side.
Should we follow this one up?
Is it just paper talk?
We will find out much more in the days to come.
