So on Sunday the blues play their last home game of the season against Blackburn. Chelsea enjoyed a 2-0 win earlier in the season at Ewood Park and lets hope for much more of the same at the Bridge.
With the hopes of second place still alive Guus Hiddink will want to make sure the boys go out and firstly get the three points no matter what and of course secondly to put on a good performance for the fans.
By the time we take to the field on Sunday we would know how Liverpool have done away at West Brom and you never know what the result could be there.
Normally i would pick out particular key battles and focus on those that would have a major influence on the result tomorrow but in this case i would like to focus on the whole team.
Its safe to say that a similar side will take to the field tomorrow that played so well at Arsenal with maybe one or two changes. Will Drogba start in what could be his last game at the Bridge? Will Kalou get the nod or will Ballack come back into the side?. I think whatever side we put out will do the job for us on Sunday.
We surely have the strength in depth to get the result on Sunday. I believe whoever he picks WILL do the job and the three points will be ours.
Blackburn have achieved the magical 40 point benchmark for survival so wont have anything to play for apart from their pride tomorrow and that could have an influence. If Chelsea score early then we could use this game to make up our goal difference on Liverpool with the last game of season still to play.
So come on Chelsea on Sunday. Get the result and do it in style.
Carefree and KTBFFH everyone!!
