Tomorrow night Chelsea take on Everton and as I have already said in my last post this is a must win game for Chelsea. Chelsea come into the game with 10 wins, 2 draws out of the 13 games that Guus Hiddink has been in charge of. Its an impressive run that has put us right back in the frame for the title run in. Its important that we take the 3 points tomorrow but this will be no easy game.
Chelsea have had the extra days rest after their exploits at Wembley on Saturday as Everton had to endure extra-time and penalties against Utd on Sunday. I think this in itself could be a major factor in the result tomorrow. Everton will come into the game with Jo back in the starting line up as he missed the cup final as he was cup tied, but I still think they will employ five across their midfield and four at the back with Tim Cahill playing behind Jo.Chelsea look as though they will field the same team that played Arsenal on Saturday as Ricardo Carvalho played for the reserves last night and was taken off with a knock. I can see maybe one change with Kalou in for Anelka as he tracks back better against Everton's width they have in Pienaar and Osman. There are battles all over the pitch but there are two that need to be won which I think will be key.
Lampard V Neville
There is no doubt that in recent weeks Frank Lampard is back to his best and if not better under Guus Hiddink. He has been employed with a licence to get forward as much as he can behind the front man who is at the moment Didier Drogba. He is scoring goals, creating goals and playing with confidence and I believe that no matter who we are playing at the moment they look at Frank as the other main danger aswell as Drogba.
Drogba will be up against Lescott and Jagielka on Wednesday night and there is no doubt on his day he can do to those two what he has done to Skrtel and Carragher along with Toure and Silvestre the other day. He can terrorise them. I personally beleive that the Everton centre halfs are alot more mobile than the others and he proved they can live with different challenges they face up front on more than one occasion this season.
This is where Lampard is key. Phil Neville plays as their holding midfielder and he has to be on Lampard with Fellaini and Cahill having licence to get forward so he needs to do a job on Lampard. If he doesn't Lampard will get forward to attack Lescott and Jagielka and put us 2-on-2 with Drogba. This one is massive for the game and the way Lamps is playing right now i can only see one winner.

Essien v Cahill
Since the first leg at Anfield its been a different couple of games for Essien as he hasn't really had the same threat up against him. But when you play Everton you know that they will have one midfielder pushed on to support the main man up front and this is usually Tim Cahill. So Essien will have a job to do tomorrow night.
No matter how you look at it Cahill is a threat from all areas of the pitch. He get's in and around the oppositions back four to support his front man and is a MAJOR threat from any kind of set plays. I feel Everton will look to make something count from a set play and we need to make sure we have someone on him to negate the threat he carries against us.
When the ball is on the deck he looks to impose the same influence as Lampard but has nowhere near the same impact with the ball at his feet. If Essien can get on him early in the game he will drop deeper to get the ball and link up with Jo. The deeper he drops the less of a threat he becomes. This is one for Essien to step up to and i think he will. His power and strength is second to none and i believe he will prevail tomorrow night.
This is a very difficult game for Chelsea as Everton do not give alot away. But, i can see us nicking a goal in the game and that will be enough for the three points. Come on Chelsea!
