Well its the morning after the game before and in a funny kind of way i see this as a big three points for Chelsea and a kick up the bum before Tuesday's game against Liverpool.
We all saw the result from Anfield yesterday afternoon so it was vitally important that we picked up three points yesterday. I think before the game we all would of been happy with a 1-0 win wouldn't we. But, as it transpired, was a stroll for 65 mins and then a nightmare.
It was a dodgey start and yes they had their chances but once we settled into our stride we took control 1-0 at half time and within 20 mins of the restart we had a 4-0 win. At the time we more or less all agreed with the decision to rest Drogba and Lampard and take them off but didn't expect to happen what did.
Bolton used their main danger in Kevin Davies and we able to do so because not until they got back to 4-3, that we put John Terry up against him for the headers. Until then Carvalho was up against him and lost nearly every header. So we were hanging on at the end. But like i said this could be a good thing as we can't afford for this to happen on Tuesday. So Guus will be working with the defence to make sure this doesn't happen.
Let's put it into perspective. We got the three points the same as Liverpool and Man United. So we keep the pressure on them. Yes we got sloppy at the end and yes we were hanging on but the fact is we did and we keep the pressure on both of them.
