So we are through to the FA Cup Final after beating the Arsenal 2-1 on Saturday and once again Chelsea had to come from behind to win the game. Now as Guus Hiddink has already stated this shows that our boys have a fight about them, they know how to react against going a goal down and come back fighting. We did it twice recently against Liverpool and again on Saturday but, we really need to get the beginning of games sorted out as we can't afford to carry on playing like this.
I watched the post match interview with JT on Chelsea TV and he even said that they know they are starting games off slow and are doing what they can to put it right but if anything on Saturday started off even slower! This is something that needs to be put right asap. If we start as we have done recently against Barcelona they will make us pay early in the first leg!.
Once we got on the ball in the first half after the scored we looked much better. Ballack & Essien were winning plenty of the ball and Lampard was becoming more of a danger as the half went on. Cech had no chance with their goal even though i am reading this morning that he should of saved it! Apart from that he didn't have another save to make which speaks volumes.
I must admit i was a little surprised when i saw Alex in next to Terry instead of Carvalho (like the rest of you probably) but he was outstanding and marshalled Adebayor well in the game. I pointed out in my preview it would be JT up against him but Alex was my man of the match. Ashley Cole started off with some dodgy moments but grew in stature as the game went on. Anelka wasn't really affective in the game but did ok apart from losing his man for their goal.
I thought Drogba did enough in the game, his presence was enough to keep Toure and Silvestre occupied and he took his goal really well, the same as Malouda. He scored a great goal and did enough.
It was one of those London Derbies that was always going to be contested more in the midfield than in other areas. I think its safe to say that Fabregas, although on the ball early in the game drifted out of it, Van Persie wasn't the threat he was at Stamford Bridge and as a result their midfield couldn't provide the service to Abebayor.
So all in all i am pleased with the result. We still need to work on starting off better in games and after half time. I think we need to sort out the right wing too as Anelka does a job but that's about it as he never really looks comfortable playing there. But like i said we are through to the FA Cup Final on 30th May against Everton. Well done to the lads and Come On Chelsea!!

You are right in pointing out the problem on the left hand side - I think now, with Drogba's resurgence, that left winger is a position we need to strengthen. Although Joe Cole out since January, it was always going to look precarious for the rest of the season.
