It's worrying times for Chelsea fans around the world with rumours and reports that Eden Hazard has rejected Chelsea's staggering new contract offer in favour of a move this summer to Real Madrid.
Having had some amazing and influential seasons here at Chelsea ever since his arrival, the Belgian playmaker is showing signs in his new central role, that he could be even better this time around with another impressive performance last night.
Hazard is catching the eye in games more than ever having been given the freedom to go and play where he wants to - as the number ten in behind the main striker. His performances have been fantastic for the most part and we have seen him have much more of an influence in games than he ever has. He is allowed to roam the pitch, to find space through the middle, in-between the lines or even out wide, the main goal for us is to give him the ball in space to look to hurt the opposition. Arguably, his performance at Atletico Madrid this season was his best for Chelsea in the Champions League and has made plenty of people sit up and take notice.
One of those people is his hero Zinedine Zidane who it's being reported has already contacted his representatives to talk over a potential move to the Spanish capital this summer. You worry that if an official approach was made Chelsea would have no chance to keep him here because he has always spoken very highly of the manager and of the team. The thought of being the next Galatico would seemingly be too hard to resist and you would expect Chelsea to receive mega-money from Madrid to sign him.
As for the player himself? He always talks down a potential move and to his credit always talks of focusing on Chelsea. However, as I have said if an official offer was made I believe 100% that he would not turn it down. That's why there is talk of a new £300,000 per week contract offer being rejected in the past few days. I don't think that's true but I would believe that he wants to put the offer on hold until the summer to see what happens.
I sincerely hope like the rest of you that we manage to keep him here. He is the best in the Premier League by a long way and he would be a huge loss to our Football Club if he leaves us.
What do you think he will do this summer? How much would you want for him?
Leave......£200million++++++going on the psg/neymar nonsense
ReplyDeleteI think he'll to to RM this time. I don't want him to go but it just seems like his time.
