Eden Hazard has urged Michy Batshuayi to try harder to impose himself at Chelsea or leave the club in search of regular first team football this summer.
We all agree that it has been a season to forget for the young Belgian striker at Chelsea so far. Having made all of his seventeen appearances in the Premier League as substitute (with the majority being within the last five or ten minutes in a game), it's clear that having played regular first team football for Marseille before his big money move to Stamford Bridge he needs to be starting games more often.
The problem he has at Chelsea, as I have posted here the other week, is that he is suffering the same fate as Fernando Torres in the fact that the Chelsea team is built around the main man up front in Diego Costa (Didier Drogba in Torres' case). Diego Costa is such an influence on the team and such a presence up front that we cannot afford to leave him out of games and the fact that we are not having to play twice a week this season (due to lack of European games) has helped Costa remain fit this year.
So to Eden Hazard speaking of his friend and team mate. He said:
"He must try to play more at Chelsea. Or he finds another club to bounce back.
It is not easy, he had a good season in Marseille, a season with being able to play and score. But it will serve as an experiment.
I get along very well with him, I wish him to rediscover the pleasure of playing, scoring goals as he has been able to do for several years, be it at Standard [Liege] or Marseille." - Source: The Mirror.
As we have seen this week, there are numerous reports linking Michy Batshuayi with a move away from the club in the summer with West Ham being one of the sides with a reported serious interest in him for next season.
You have to say that it does not appear that he will be given the chance to show us all what he can do on a regular basis because in my view, Antonio Conte does not seem that impressed by him and it's clear that he was a club signing rather than one Conte told the club he wanted. It seems that is about to change this summer with the likes of Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku being linked with big money moves.
It's a shame but it looks like Michy Batshuayi will take Eden Hazard's advice and leave the club.
I agree Michy should leave if he still wants to have play time. With the recent form and pressure of winning the title,I doubt he will play for over 45 mins. With our free football predictions , high chances is that he will leave the club.
