DIEGO COSTA: Atletico to offer £40m - He is or isn't 100% committed to Chelsea. If not, sell him!

Atletico Madrid are preparing a £40m offer to be thrown at Chelsea within days to re-sign Diego Costa and they are confident that they WILL get their man before the start of the new Premier League season.

Despite Chelsea contacting the Spanish side on more than one occasion for what seems like blatant tapping-up of Costa, to threaten to report them to FIFA for the same, Atletico remain intent on doing everything they can to sign him. It's a story that continues to have legs and will not go away.

Costa didn't feature against Liverpool the other night and will not again tonight against Real Madrid due to what Antonio Conte describes a "back-pain" but I just wonder if there is more to this. Has Costa told Chelsea that he wants to leave and go back to La Liga? Are we to expect this to actually happen?

Diego Costa is a great player and someone who can make a real difference on his own and we have seen that here and back in La Liga. When his mind his right and he is focused on his Football, he is right up there with the best of them.

I want to see Costa stay here, to fight alongside Antonio Conte and lead Chelsea's title/top four challenge as I could imagine just how good he could be for us with the way that Conte is looking to set the team up this season.

However, and I say this about anyone no matter who they are, if for any reason they are not showing 100% commitment to Chelsea and are thinking of a possible move then let them go as they are not wanted here!

I sincerely hope he stays and IS 100% committed. If not, get someone else in and sell him!
