I am getting increasingly fed up with Eden Hazard talking about PSG or Zidane at Real Madrid. In the build up to our biggest game of the season he has done it again and Chelsea fans are NOT impressed!
As you probably know by now he said:
'It's hard to say no to PSG, as with all teams capable of winning the Champions League.
Now, PSG are part of this category. And for me, winning the Champions League is the main objective. But for now, I do not dwell on it.
(When asked of his future) 'I do not know, because there is always uncertainty in football. If we stick to the contract, I'll still be at Chelsea next season.
Even if things are complicated this season, I am at Chelsea. I'm in a good group that can win trophies every season.
(Of Zidane at Real Madrid) 'Of course with Zidane, it makes you want it as he was my idol when he was a player
'I want to work with the best coaches in the world. But I do not know if Zidane is already part of this category, he has only led Real since early January.'
I really wouldn't mind if he was performing as we all know he could week in, week out but he isn't. I wouldn't mind if he delivered a performance that helped Chelsea win a big game this year and I would see passed it if he at times, came up with something magical to turn a tight game in our favour or to win it outright but he hasn't. It's time to shut up and to give me what I want starting tonight.
If Eden Hazard wants to be considered as one of the worlds best with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo then he needs to deliver in the biggest games of all, the Champions League games with tonight at PSG the perfect stage.
He talks of his dream being to win the Champions League at some point in his career, so why not this season with Chelsea? If he plays to his full potential and can find his form to dominate the opposition in this competition as he did in the Premier League last season, then we have a chance.
I don't want to see a hesitant performance, slow and laboured tonight. I don't want to see Hazard take the ball forward, stop and play it either backwards or sideways. I want to see him drive at his opponent at every single opportunity to force them onto the back foot and to create problems.
Eden Hazard IS a match winner on his own. It's time he delivered exactly that in the biggest games of all!
