Atletico "offer" defender to Chelsea - Could Filipe Luis go in the other direction?

If reports are true about a story I featured on here the other day, Atletico Madrid have "offered" Chelsea the chance to sign Toby Alderweireld this summer and I just wonder if Filipe Luis will become part of the deal? 

The 26-year-old Belgian has had a fantastic season at Southampton and has settled into life in the Premier League really, really easily. It's been those performances that have caught the attention of the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool who are all believed to be monitoring what happens with him. 

Many people believe that Southampton have the first option to sign him for a fee of around £7m but I just wonder that now there is substantial interest, if they will be open to offers? 

Toby Alderweireld can play anywhere across the back four and would be an asset for Chelsea if we were to take up Atletico on their offer. He would give us plenty of options especially at left back, a position where Filipe Luis has not lived up to expectations this season. 

It's because of the disappointment of Luis this season that I am wondering whether or not he would become part of the deal to being Toby Alderweireld here? 

Luis has struggled to force his way into the team ahead of Cesar Azpilicueta and has had to settle for a bit part involvement throughout the season. It's almost as if he hasn't come to terms with the pace of our game. There have been glimpses of what he can do with the ball at his feet but they have been very few and far between!

If this report has substance, I would bite Atletico's hand off to sign Toby Alderweireld and that IS with Filipe Luis going in the other direction.
