SCHURRLE: Reports state that he has asked Chelsea to lower their demands.

According to various reports, Andre Schurrle has made the decision to leave Chelsea to pursue first team football back in the Bundesliga but there is a stumbling block; Chelsea are asking for too much money.

With reports that Wolfsburg are 100% interested, it's also believed that Dortmund are monitoring his situation and because of this, Schurrle has asked Chelsea to lower their demands in order for a deal to be agreed before the deadline closes next Monday.

I have to say that reports earlier in the week of Chelsea looking for £30m for someone they bought for just £18m were way off! Surely Chelsea wouldn't be asking for that amount as they would literally price everyone out of the running and would leave an unhappy player here.

Initial thoughts today however indicate that Chelsea could be willing to do business for between £22 and £25m which is much more realistic.

I just hope that something can be sorted out in order for Chelsea and Schurrle to get what they both want now rather than dragging it out until next summer!
