According to reports from Italy, AC Milan have identified Fernando Torres as their prime transfer target in the next seven days after selling Mario Balotelli to Liverpool. Do we think he will leave?
Expect transfer rumours and reports to go through the roof as they normally do at this time of the season as I fully expect Torres, Cech, Mikel and Van Ginkel all to be linked with moves away as Chelsea still have one foreign player over their current quota for the season.
So to the report above and some reports have indicated this afternoon that a fee has already been agreed between AC Milan and Chelsea but as yet, no deal has been agreed with the player himself. In fact, some reports state that due to the expensive salary Torres is currently on at Chelsea, the club would be forced to pay up the remainder of his salary in order for him to move away.
This past weekend, Torres appeared on his Instagram account taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and looked to have been given permission by the manager to take the weekend off with his position on the bench being taken by Ramires after his return from suspension.
I just can't help but think that the manager DOES like Torres and intends to keep him but when someone like Milan comes in for a player who is not first choice this season, you have to wonder if Chelsea will decide to do business?
What do you think? Do you think Torres will leave Chelsea or will he stay if AC Milan comes calling?
