First of all I am going to hold my hands up and say fair play Harry Redknapp. You set your side up to come here and defend deep, in numbers to keep things tight at the back. Apart from a couple of Ivanovic headers over the bar and Victor Moses just missing a fantastic run and cross from Marko Marin, Chelsea never looked like scoring tonight.
Kudos Arry' it was the perfect game and a massive three points for you!
As for Chelsea? Well seeing the team sheet before kick off was interesting with Cole, Ramires, Hazard and Mata all dropped to the bench. It's always a gamble when you decide to rest players but in saying that, Chelsea didn't create QPR with enough problems.
It's all well and good resting players but you still need the same drive and creativity in the team. For me, Victor Moses was the outstanding player going forward in the first half and Marko Marin was lucky to stay on the pitch.
Second half Chelsea started better, with a quicker tempo and more urgency but we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.
Rafa Benitez came out and said we are title challengers and that we would beat QPR - he is eating his words tonight.
They say that no one player is more important that everyone else but tonight has proven once again that without Juan Mata pulling the strings, Chelsea are a very different side.
QPR had one on the pitch tonight in Taarabt and I think even the most staunch Chelsea fan will agree that he was outstanding for them tonight. The deft touch to lay the ball into the patch of SWP was sublime and I would like to give SWP a mention for not celebrating his goal.
So once again it's back to the drawing board for Rafa Benitez and for our title challenge. I saw a post on Twitter straight after the final whistle and it said:
He did tonight bigtime!

They have a point looking at tonight don't they!?
So come on Chelsea fans, what did you think of the starting eleven, the performance and where you felt it went wrong for us?
"Benitez brought back down to earth with a bump" the headlines should read tomorrow. Then again a certain Harry Redknapp said the other day:
"You'd have to be a real dope to mess it up with that group of players!"
He did tonight bigtime!

Haha, I KNEW chels would come crashing down again soon. That 6th place finish is inching closer every gutless, heartless match they play. This is the start of the slide. Watch if you dare.
ReplyDeleteI honestly think Benitez is slowly deystroying chelsea it has world class players but his tactics are clearly not working for the team we will finish mid table winning has become so difficult for us these days Torres does not make it any better for us than jus adding numbers Demba Ba is good but with Benitez in charge he might not make ant difference
ReplyDeleteI think it goes without saying, letting go of RDM is not for football reason, or maybe its just plain stupidity. Cos any idiot wouldn't even had drawn tonight. He had to wait till 70 minutes b4 he (Benitez) introduced mata, well what can I say. He is always a looser, he destroyed liverpool, inter. now, its our turn to suffer the wrath. Well, actually. He his not to blame. There are people that appointed a proven loser.

ReplyDeleteNever felt so embarrassed to being a Chelsea fan.
ReplyDeleteQpr are as good as relegated and we lose at home to them.
what have we learnt from tonight?
Simple.
1.enough is enough fuck Torres off , he is fucking useless!!! End of!!!!
2. We are a 1 man team , without Mata we lose.
3.our 2 string of players are championship standard .
4. We crumble without cech.
get that fat Spanish waiter out and get begging for pep or Jose.
and facaio is a must.
sorry to rant but but got work tomorrow and will get slated all day.
Fuck off benitez and torres, every team in top four wins their game except chelsea..torres still have no confidence to score while benitez take easy on QPR when resting ramires, mata and hazard..that type of strategy couldnt help chelsea ambition to challenge other top club..get rid of these two
ReplyDeleteChelsea were an embarrassment to all of us fans tonight!! I have never been so frustrated and I'm lucky to still have hair tonight. Victor Moses is way overrated and I actually think he slows our play down. We need someone like him but with a bit of pace and drive and with a decent final cross. E.g. Antonio Valencia or Bale! To lose to QPR for me feels even worse than to get knocked out of the champions league. And I reckon Ricky Lambert in a Chelsea side would have more goals than rvp if he were to get all the chances torres has fluffed this season! Actually any decent striker would!
ReplyDeleteThis is my point exactly..even many of the bottom half pl strikers would do better through determination alone. People defending Torres sickens me
DeleteSuper Hoops
ReplyDeleteQPR deserved the points frustrated Chelsea.
Pride of West London.
'Arry Houdini who knows.
Hahaha lets all laugh at Chelsea!! You don't deserve anything, hope you get relegated!!
ReplyDeleteJust few weeks ago U pple were praising Chelsea, then today U are slating them. A bad day in office is obtainable everywhere. D only thing is d ability to carry on frm ur misfortune. Rafa won't be sacked until season ends but Chelsea needs to up their game and also make good buys. Ba coming is good but for crying out loud we nid 3 or 4 strikers(so let Chelsea better go and get two more strikers to make it 4)a CMF eg Paulinho and a CB like Matt Hummels. And prepare to call back Thibaut Courtois by May
ReplyDeleteLosing to qpr was not the end of the world! We took 9pts out of possible 12 over Xmas which is the best Xmas we've had for years! We've brought in Ba and maybe will add a couple more before the end of jan. We were never gonna catch the manc's so 3rd is the realistic goal and we are by far the 3rd best team in the lge!!! So calm down people rafa will soon be gone we can get the right manager in for next season and make a proper challenge for the lge!!!!
