I have to say all these rumours linking Chelsea with a whole host of players is taking me back to the beginning of the 2003/4 season when Roman Abramovich first came into the club and started his revolution.
In winning the Champions League as we know, Roman Abramovich told the players in the changing room afterwards that this was "only the beginning" and so far this summer, all the signs are there that Roman now wants Chelsea to take the next step.
The big signing of Eden Hazard is an exciting one as it is but it now also seems that in addition to Hazard, De Bruyne and Marin, Chelsea are about to splash another £60m on Oscar and Cavani which is a major statement as far as i am concerned.
It's almost like Roman has started the second coming of his revolution as if you look back to this time two seasons ago, there have been some major changes to our club.
With Drogba, Anelka, Alex, Bosingwa and Kalou already gone and if Florent Malouda can lower his wage demands to get "his wish" of finishing his career in Brazil, Chelsea have gone about replacing these players with young, fresh talent with the best years ahead of them and it should be exciting to see.
Think back to 2004/2005. That summer, Petr Cech signed and has remained part of our experienced core along with the likes of John Terry, Michael Essien, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba - all players who have remained the backbone of the squad.
It's no secret that JT and Lampard aren't as young as they used to be, but have been surrounded by promising young talent such as David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Ramires, Hazard, Mata, Marin, Torres, Romeu and De Bruyne.
If Chelsea can also add Oscar AND Cavani to our ranks ahead of the new season, Roman's work could finally be done for the next 3, 4 or 5 seasons as all these players can grow together and form as it said earlier, the second coming of Chelsea.
Without question, Chelsea's transfer dealings have been impressive and have taken people by surprise. If we can add these two players before the season starts, surely Chelsea have to be considered serious contenders for both the Premier League AND become the first side to retain the Champions League next season!.
