Reaction to Chelsea's unbelievable performance against Barcelona.

Morning everyone! Woken up this morning and still can't quite believe it, we beat Barcelona with ten men and are in the Champions League final!. I posted my reaction to the game a couple of hours after the final whistle and if you haven't seen it, make sure you click here to check it out.

For now and this post, I want to focus on the reaction after the game.

Roberto Di Matteo:

'It was an incredible game, There were so many events. I am very happy but most of all pleased for the players because they deserve this. They have had a difficult season and they seem to be able to do something special when they need to. This seems to be the DNA of these players.

We seem to find some reserves from somewhere, Even after the first leg we still weren't favourites and then had all the difficulties you can imagine, and against Barcelona as well. It is just incredible.

All the odds were against us. We had to change one centre-back and then the other was sent off, so we had to shuffle the whole defence and then there was the penalty and the comeback. It was good to watch for neutrals but not for us.'

Frank Lampard who in both games, stepped up when we needed him and played two fantastic through balls to set up two of our three goals:

"It was backs to the wall. I know people want to see beautiful football, but with 10 men for 50-odd minutes or whatever it was, to perform like that was unbelievable.

It's one of the finest moments I've felt in a Chelsea shirt. We were all in it together and we dug in."

Fernando Torres who's calm and composed finish killed of Barcelona and produced a moment that will live in our hearts:

"I'm happy to be part of the game, to score the goal, to be in the Champions League final.

Obviously it's a dream come true for all the Chelsea players, for all the Chelsea supporters who've come here and everyone watching the game at home.

It's the second Champions League final for Chelsea. Everyone knows what happened in the past with the penalty shoot-out so I think Chelsea deserve a second chance and we have the chance now.

One more goal against Barcelona, nice memories in this stadium, nice memories against them.

But this one is more special than any one before because it helped us go through to the final."

Finally, Ashley Cole who played his part in both games and arguably in the first leg gave one of his best performances in a Chelsea shirt:

We all believed. Not many people did but we did as a group of players, and that's what happened.

It's hard, but we defended well as a team, got a bit lucky, and Petr (Cech) made some good saves.

Three to four months ago no one thought we had a chance. We lost a few games in the Premier League but we always believed and knew we were good enough to be here. You can't beat that desire and fight that you saw out there today."

The players in both games were hero's.

What a fantastic night and a fantastic performance. Yes people it's still true, we're in the final!
