Has someone had a word with David Luiz?

For someone who has been described this season as being controlled by a kid on a Playstation, David Luiz has taken all the flack on the chin, concentrated on his game and for me, has got better. It's almost as if someone has had a word with him and has asked him to concentrate recently on the defensive side of his game.

In my mind, he has been outstanding for the last three or four games. When asked about the way he plays the game he said:

"The manager gives me confidence to play my football and supports my attacking moves.

Sometimes you get criticism, like I did, and recently I have been applauded for my work.

I've been working in the same way as always, training at my best level.

As long as I can go home and lay down on my bed and have my conscience clear that I am doing an honest job, I am happy."

The thing with Luiz is that it does seem as though he has calmed down alot, hardly anymore rash decisions in games (well not as many as before), he doesn't burst forward as much as before but chooses his moments and it really is noticeable that the defensive side of his game has really improved.

I know people have often said that Luiz should be pushed further forward into midfield because of his quality on the ball and his range of passing, however I a still believe he will be a class act at the back, reading the game in front of him.

Let's hope he continues to get better and better!
