"Furious" Drogba to follow Anelka to China?

Now this could be YET ANOTHER attempt by the press to destabilise Chelsea or it could have some substance in it. However, please bear in mind that only a few days ago, Drogba stated he wouldn't be leaving the club in January.

According to The Sun, Didier Drogba is "furious" at not being offered a new two year contract by the club. As a result, it being reported in the same article here, that he has been offered a two year deal to play for Dalian Aerbin worth £200k per week.

The Sun also states that Chelsea have only (so far) been prepared to offer Drogba a one year deal worth ONLY £125K per week!.

I have said it on my blog time and time again, when players are coming to the latter stages of their careers and are the wrong side of 30, Chelsea will only be prepared to offer one year deals with the option of extending after that depending on how well they perform.

The thing that Drogba needs to realise is that AVB is creating a revolution at the club, Roman Abramovich and the Chelsea board want to move this club forward so if Drogba wants to stay here he should accept a further one year and prove what he can still offer the club in order to get another deal afterwards.

Remember a couple of weeks ago, Drogba's agent stated that a deal couldn't be agreed and he would find his client a move where he "could earn the most money". If this story is true then earning a reported £20m over two years could be an option Drogba, just like Anelka, couldn't afford to resist.
