In January at least anyway according to Didier Drogba. After scoring yesterday, Drogba was keen to put an end to speculation that he could be leaving the club as early as January after his agent made a statement the other day saying he would be leaving to go to a club with the most money. Drogba said:
"I always said that I will honour my contract with Chelsea until the very end. And for the moment, the end is in 2012. I am fine here and my personal case is not an important factor for me at the moment. The important thing is to try and get Chelsea back to the summit of the Premier League."(Source)
I still think that Didier Drogba has a part to play this season. Look at yesterday, defensively winning headers in and around the box he is one of the best headers of the ball so he can do a job for us.
His goal was vintage Drogba too and he took it well. However, he is included in the side to use his pace, strength and power to hold the ball up and bring other players into the game. In his last two appearances he hasn't done that not nearly as much as we expect.
If he is to stay until the end of the season, I want more from him. I want to see the Drogba of old scaring the life out of defences week in, week out. I don't want to see him strolling about the pitch seemingly uninterested.
