They could even make a move for both. We have all heard the news of Antonio Cassano's heart surgery after he suffered a suspected stroke (wish him a full recovery by the way). With the news that he is out for the remainder of the season, Carlo Ancelotti is urging his old club to make a move for one or even both of his old players in Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.
He said:
For Drogba, it's the age thing for me and I really believe that we will have news maybe in January that an agreement of a new deal will not be reached and Drogba will be free to speak to clubs. Drogba wants two years but Chelsea are only prepared to give him one year. I can't see either party budging from what they want and are prepared to offer.
With the likes of Torres hitting form, Sturridge playing well and Mata at the club now along with Lukaku for our future, Drogba and Anelka for one reason or another find themselves on the bench for most of the season so far.
Like I said, one final payday could tempt them away and in my view will be a good deal for everyone.

“Certainly – they are great players in good physical condition. They are players of great quality and attitude. I would see both of them fitting in very well at Milan - but that doesn’t mean that one of the two are going to go.”I have to say in my own opinion, if offered a final pay day I think one or even both of them would seriously consider moving. It's no secret that Anelka is not getting another contract and will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
