What's your thoughts on Kevin De Bruyne?

I had never seen De Bruyne play being honest and didn't know alot about him after we were linked with a move for him back in the summer. As you can imagine watching him at Stamford Bridge in person two weeks ago didn't really provide me with anything of note. He has something about him, but along with the rest of his team mates, he looked outclassed and was never able to show us what he could do.

Last night was a totally different story as far as I am concerned. De Bruyne's performance was in stark contrast to Florent Malouda and it was plain to see. I do have to say, at times Malouda was able to get into attacking areas and got free of his marker, but was out shone by De Bruyne.

Everything the Belgian did last night came off. His movement, his composure on the ball, his final ball and his touch was so much better than Malouda's.

He provided us with real substance on the pitch last night and he looks a player that would grace the Premier League for sure.

What did impress me the most and highlighted the difference between the two players was the fact that he always looked to move the ball forward and to pass the ball quickly. There was no extra touches when they weren't needed, always looked for a quick give-and-go and cause Jose Bosingwa plenty of problems.

For me, we should sign him as early as January if we can or later on next summer. He is only young but based on last night's showing, has plenty to offer us and much more than we have with Malouda at the club!
